2016 Season / Following on from The Australian Ballet’s 2015 year of beauty, 2016 is “the year of transformation” with tagline The Power to Transform. Butterfly’s are the ultimate symbol of transformation and a key visual element in the 2016 marketing campaign. Australian photographer Justin Ridler shot the brand photography for the season brochure and hero image over two days in collaboration with The Australian Ballet’s internal marketing and design department.
